Here is a lovely CD of unknown Victorian and Edwardian Organ Music much of which was written with the horrors of the First World War very much in the minds of these composers. This is a selection that Kevin Bowyer has found which was contained in a series or organ publications from the early 1900s. All this music is unknown and unrecorded and is very English and typical of our “Green and Pleasant Land.” The Organ of Woburn Parish Church is one of the best of its types and is housed in a generous acoustic. This too is its first commercial recording.

"this CD is one of the most intelligently planned new releases I have encountered  for some time, recalling a period in this country's history that is in serious danger of dying out. A fascinating and, in its way, important recording. (Robert Matthew Walker, Choir and Organ)

""Bowyer's is stylistically spot on, and the musical results are beguiling - I challenge listeners not to beam throughout! " - (Matthew Power - Choir and Organ ****)

"This is a delightful CD....dont be put off as almost certainly you will never have heard any of these composers....excellent programme notes from Kevin Bowyer who is to be congratulated on producing such a worthwhile CD."  Paul Morgan - Cathedral Music
